Hi Don,

I didn't mean to block you. I had to restrict editing to verified accounts because of intensive spamming, and I didn't realize you hadn't verified yours.

I tried to fake-verify it by editing the database directly, but I have no way of testing it to see if that worked.

If you can't edit now, all you need to do is go to your preferences, enter an email address (under "E-mail options", near the bottom of the page), and then request email verification.

If you still can't log in after that, please let me know.

Google Voice

So, I've attempted to create a gv account, resulting in utter disaster.

Obviously, some like it in its current form; but, despite good intention, it is horrific, absolutely unuseable, in my perspective.

There is an enormous amount wrong w/ gv: It refused me 442. I could not search by city, so I had to search 760 one @ a time, during which it suddenly assigned me the 424 area, which is also 310.

Then, while working on this message, I checked again, & it had deleted that telephone number, so I chose something in 760 that it had refused to tell the city for. After completing, it told me Mountain View, poosibly the one where google is most, which usually is not 760, nor 442, nor 424, nor 310.

I do not know any way to be assigned Desert Hot, nor Palm Springs.

It does not permit me to edit a contact.

Just another reason to be depressed, though this one is so tiny that to attribute suicide to it would diminish the true threats that I continually encounter; googlevoice is a tiny annoyance that I had hoped might help me to improve something.

If you want to call it, then please do say that. I have recorded my name as the outgoingmessage.

Thank You f/ the effort,

It has taken more than three years to get the signature to act as I had programmed it in the preference.
